A by product of the extensive bamboo work is a lot of bamboo and timber waste. This has been put to use in the form of Bio Char which is generated by controlled burning of the predominantly bamboo biomass waste. This activity is currently handled by the Bamboo Treatment  unit. So far, over a tonne of quality Bio Char has been generated. 

Plans are afoot to create a separate livelihood unit around this  generation, packaging and sale of this this Bio Char.
